ADR Session

So now that the editing on the pilot is complete, we have moved onto the audio portion of the post-production process. So we hired a tremendously talented audio designer named Justin Bates who cost some beaucoup bucks, and is worth EVERY PENNY! He is doing phenomenal work! He told us that some of the dialogue we originally recorded onset is unusable; we saw this coming, because one of our sound guys was high on set and messed up some stuff (don’t worry, we fired him that day and replaced him), also there was a restaurant above the Anchor Bar that could get a little loud (because we were idiots and shot on Superbowl Sunday for one of our shoot days). So basically, this was expected, and now we’ve started our ADR sessions, bringing back our actors to re-record some of their dialogue. Gang’s back together again! Pictured below is Brock Joseph recording his lines as Milly, as I watch over the process. It is painstaking, as we have to watch the footage, then the actor will say his lines and attempt to deliver them exactly as they were in the pilot, and match the lip movement as closely as possible.
