Filming Pilot: Is This Thing On?

So today was the first day shooting Is This Thing On? I wrote the damn thing, and I’m also starring in it and producing it with Matthew & Zac. However, I wrote in lots of ensemble characters, so even though my character is the main character, she does a lot of listening as well. She is the device that allows the audience to meet these crazy characters. It is in the mockumentary style, meaning that the characters are aware of the camera and interact with it. It was so FUN to be onset today, and watch all these people inhabit my characters and then interact with me, in character, on camera. What a trip! Very exhausted, but well worth it!

Pictured with me is Jacob Seidman (behind the bar), who plays the bartender Welshley, who brews homemade Kombucha cocktails (spiked) at the bar. He is a TREASURE, as are all the other actors we were able to get into this thing.
