Culver City Film Festival Screening
So the Culver City Film Festival had two separate events that we attended; one was the red carpet event, which we went to a few weeks ago, and then tonight was the screening of our film, at Cinemark. It was WEIRD to see our film on such a huge screen; it was weird to see my FACE on a big screen, magnified to God knows how big. Very strange. The other films that were shown were very good. There was one about a drug addict that was powerful, and then there was another one, a comedy, about an aging movie star trying to make it in show business today. The actor really did used to be in films, and he was recognizable, which just made it so much funnier. That one was probably my favorite. When our film started, Matthew and I kind of sunk low in our seats, because we were nervous and kind of embarrassed, but we shouldn’t have been. In the talkback afterwards, our fellow filmmakers were very interested in what we are doing with our company, and our veteran message. So that was unexpected and very welcome!
