Happy Father's Day (Quarantine Edition)

So today is now Father’s Day. So we did a little celebration for Armando, Matt’s dad, and got him some presents, and “Jerry” (me) got Matthew a Native American mug because he’s the daddy of our little pack. But I’d like to spend this post giving a little appreciation to MY father. Michael Duff. The one and only. My dad is my rock, my inspiration, my sounding board. He is always there for me, and I suspect he always will be, one way or another. He’s kind of like my guardian angel who’s still alive haha. I never make a business decision before consulting him, and I always tell him good news first. He loves music, and my singing, and Julie Christie, and giving advice to young people, and reading philosophy, and long walks. He can have fascinating conversations for HOURS and not get tired. He is understanding, even when I’m being awful. And more than anything, he is FUN to hang out with. The photo below was taken when we lived in Marin County, which is one of my favorite memories of him. We’d walk along the creek, even in the rain, and I’d pick up sticks and we’d just run around and cause trouble. We had some horrible neighbors at the time, and my Dad would say, “MOWENA is coming!” every time we saw them, and then we’d run away. I don’t care if I sound lame…my Dad is one of my best friends. We are so alike; I am an apple not far from the tree. And for that I am very glad.
