So apparently I am officially an instagram influencer? I have no idea, but Ulta Beauty reached out to me, and offered me a free makeover to promote their business! So I drove out there with Matthew, and there was this huge line of girls, all waiting to get into the store! So apparently “instagram influencers” are a dime a dozen. Huh. Well that dampened my little ego trip, and I got in line. Matthew escaped to a Barnes and Noble because all the girls were screaming about makeup. I wanted to escape to Barnes and Noble as well, but I couldn’t turn down a free makeover and my own position as “an Instagram Influencer”, right? So I get into the store and I have to wait another two hours, and I finally get to the chair. And I explained why I was there, and the makeup artist said, “Yeah, I mean, it’s kind of not free. You can choose to get one thing free, either foundation or eye makeup, but then you have to buy something.” And I felt like what a racket…but I had waited so long, so I capitulated and chose to have my foundation done, and then I bought a bottle of foundation. And then Matthew came back and said I looked orange. So my Instagram Influencer Day One kind of sucked. I don’t think I have a future in the Instagram game… I can live with that.
